  6.        ChronoLog Version 1.51 - QUICK INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  8. If you have a ChronoLog "master" diskette(s), one 3 1/2" or two 5 1/4" 
  9. floppy(s), the files are not compressed.  There should be at least 14 files.  
  10. See the file PACKING.LST for a listing of the minimum files required.  Do
  11. not erase any of the system files!
  12.              
  13. Use the following procedure to install:
  14.  
  15.       - Copy all 14 files to a DOS subdirectory on your computer.  If you 
  16.     are upgrading, data that you have previously entered will NOT be
  17.     affected.
  18.  
  19.       - Run CLINIT (the ChronoLog Database Initialization Program).  When
  20.     it is finished, CHRONO (the main ChronoLog program) will execute 
  21.     automatically.

  25. If you have the ChronoLog files compressed into a single file (the 
  26. file name should be CHRON151.xxx, where xxx is the compression 
  27. extension such as ZIP, or EXE if it is a self-extracting file), 
  28. use the following installation procedure:

  30.       - Make sure that the compressed file has been copied to the 
  31.     subdirectory on your hard drive where you want the ChronoLog 
  32.     system files to reside.

  34.       - Decompress CHRON151.xxx.  If the decompress is successful, 
  35.         you may delete CHRON151.xxx.
  36.  
  37.       - There should be at least 14 files when decompressed.  See the 
  38.     file PACKING.LST for a listing of the minimum files required.

  40.       - Type CLINIT (the ChronoLog Database Initialization Program) to 
  41.     initialize a database in the subdirectory where the system files 
  42.     reside.  CHRONO will then execute automatically.

  45. IMPORTANT!!!  If this is an evaluation copy of ChronoLog which you 
  46. purchased from a disk distributor (shareware catalog), please do not 
  47. contact the distributor to request a refund if you have problems.  This 
  48. tends to make vendors remove shareware products from their catalogs!  
  49. Instead, get in touch with me and together we will work it out!
